Spring 2018 Registration

Registration for the Spring 2018 begins on October 28, 2017. A $5 early bird discount will be offered through November 28, 2017. Registration will close on January 28, 2018, and late fees will take effect on January 29, 2018. Late registrations will not be accepted after February 9, 2018.

Walk Up Registration Dates

 We will have walk-up registration at the Littlestown Library on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 5:30-7:30. Registration must take place online, so we will have computers available. Please be prepared to pay your registration fee with a credit card, debit card or Visa gift card.

Note that prices above do not include the $17.50 AYSO registration fee.  This fee is charged once per child for each soccer year (Fall 2017 - Spring 2018) they play, so if your child plays both seasons, you will not pay this fee in the Spring.

*We are optimistic about fielding a 17U team for the spring. However, if we don't have enough players to make up a team, we will eliminate this division and will refund the money from anyone who has registered. 

Registration: What you need

  • Player name, address, phone number, gender, and birth date.
  • Your child's school and grade.
  • A primary email address we can use for communication.
  • Emergency contact info, doctor name and phone, and insurance carrier.
  • Parent/guardian names and phone numbers.
  • Please select a volunteer task when registering. The AYSO is a volunteer run organization. We can find a small role for you!
  • Credit card or debit card for payment. Cash and check payments are no longer accepted. If you can not pay with a credit or debit card, please obtain a Visa gift card to use to pay the registration fee online.

Questions and Answers

Q: What if I do not have Internet access to register online?
A: If you do not have access to a computer at either home or work, please go to your neighborhood school or a public library. If you are unable to do either of those, please join us at our walk-in registration date, announced above.
Q: What are the costs?
A: The fee for the Spring 2018 season is $50 for the first child, $40 for the 2nd child and each child thereafter.  In addition, a $17.50 AYSO fee is charged once per year (Fall 2017 - Spring 2018), i.e. if your child plays both seasons, you will not pay this fee in the Spring.  Late registration fees apply for registrations received after January 28, 2018 (currently $30/child). 
Q: When are games?
A: For the most part, games take place on Saturday mornings or early Saturday afternoon. One week of each Fall we play a mid-week (evening) game. Tournaments may take place on Saturday and extend to Sunday. 
Q: When are practices?
A: Practices take place during the work week. 7U and below teams practice once a week. 9U and above teams practice twice a week. As a general guideline, the practices get longer as the kids get older. For example, 5U kids practice for about 40 minutes. 15U kids may practice for an hour and half or longer. Practice days are determined by your child's coach.
Q: My child just had a birthday. Why isn't he moving up?
A: For 2017-2018, AYSO uses the player's birthdate as of 12/31/18. Normally players move up to the next division in the Fall.
Q: My child isn't being challanged at his current division. Can he be moved into a higher division?
A: We do not recommend that players move up, but they may be allowed to do so with special permission granted by the Coach administrator or Regional Commissioner. Please send an email request to coachadmin@littlestownsoccer.org
Q: My child struggles at his current division. Can he be moved down?
A: Unfortunately, no. We are required by AYSO policy and liabilty insurance to make sure the older kids are not in a younger division.
Q: My child can not practice on certain nights. Can I request a night?
A: We unfortunately do not allow players to request a particular night. We recommend that you volunteer as a coach and choose your practice night conducive to your own schedule.
Q: Can I pay electronically?
A: Yes! Credit Card paments can be made online after completing the registration process.
Q: When do we sign the medical release and photo release?
A: You will sign electronically when you register. The registration form and concussion form will be printed by our registrar, and a physical signature will be obtained by your child's coach when practice begins.
Q: Can I request a particular coach?
A: No, you can not request a particular coach.  However, each coach can request one assistant coach and therefore the children of the coach and assistant will naturally play together on the same team.
Q: Can I request to play with a friend?
A: We do not allow this. We try very hard to offer fair and balanced teams.  Requests to play with a friend make that difficult if not impossible.
Q: Can I request that two siblings in the same age group play together?
A: Yes, provided they are in the same age division, siblings can be assigned to the same team by specifying the name of the player's sibling during online registration.
Q: When is the latest I can submit my registration?
A: Registrations submitted after January 28, 2018 must pay a late registration fee of $30 and may be placed on a waiting list depending on team need.  No registrations will be accepted after February 9, 2018. 
Q: How do I withdraw if I won't be able to play?
A: We appreciate you letting us know if you find you will not be able to participate. Send an email to our registrar or a written request to:

Include the player's name and birthdate. If you would like a refund, include that as well. A request to refund a player's registration fee must be made in writing and received by February 20 for all divisions. Refunds are issued within 30 days. If a player has paid but is waitlisted and never assigned to a team, a full refund will be issued. If a player has been issued a uniform, the refund will be less the cost of the uniform. Due to insurance requirements, no refunds are allowed once a player has attended any practices or games.
